Building construction and defects

In November 2023, Trading Standards published parts B and C of their material information guidance stating that agents should include insights into the building materials used when marketing a property. Get the skills you need in this area to identify, and potentially overcome, problems before they even arise.

This two-part course will assist you in the sale negotiation process as well as helping you to understand the terminology used by surveyors in their reports. Whilst estate agents are not surveyors, the greater your knowledge of how construction techniques and defects interlink the better you will be able to advise your clients.
