Official Level 3 Qualification Support Course

This course supports delegates who are studying for the Level 3 Qualification (commonly known throughout the industry as the Technical Award). Level 3 is recognised by the Regulation of Property Agents (RoPA) as the future entry-level to the industry and this revision course which works alongside the private study will ensure candidates are exam ready. 

The Level 3 Qualification will give delegates knowledge around property law, basic build construction and defects, best practice throughout the sales process and health and safety.

Attendees will benefit from a day with like-minded delegates led by an experienced estate agent and trainer who will relate the course content to everyday activities within your estate agency firm. We will go through some of the more complex areas of the study material to ensure understanding, work through practice questions and look at exam techniques. All whilst having some fun along the way.

PLEASE NOTE: This course does not cover the complete syllabus and will prove to be too advanced for those delegates that have not studied the MOL study materials. In order to get the most out of this course, you need to be familiar with the qualification syllabus. 

The course is arranged as two separate full-day courses:

Day 1 covers 

  • Unit 1: Health and Safty, Security and General Law
  • Unit 2: Law Relating to Residential Property Sales

Day 2 covers 

  • Unit 3: Residential Property Sales Practice
  • Unit 4: Property Appraisal and Basic Building Construction / Defects

Meet Your Trainer

Martyn Baum, Course Trainer

Martyn Baum

Martyn is a Past President and former board director for NAEA Propertymark. He has over 20 years’ experience in estate agency and has worked with various firms within the industry from small independents to national corporations managing everything from cold start offices to integrating acquisitions and managing multi-branch networks.

His role as NAEA Propertymark President has allowed him to regularly commentate on the housing market in national press and radio. He has been invited to be part of advisory panels with MHCLG around transaction reform and leasehold issues.

Martyn has his own training and consultancy business as well as continuing to be a practicing estate agent in the Midlands. Martyn is a huge believer that passing the level 3 qualification gives estate agents the knowledge and confidence to advise their clients better and ultimately charge what they are worth.
