he FAQs outline that people can move more than five miles away from where they live. However, they should only move to properties that are unoccupied and have been empty for at least 72 hours or have been deep cleaned.
Other issues in the FAQs from the Welsh Government include:
- Moving from Wales to England
- Viewing homes
- Putting homes on the market
- Allowing estate agents, surveyors or removal workers into homes
Importantly, letting and estate agents can now reopen their offices, but individuals can only move to an unoccupied property.
However, agents should be aware that they can now assist in-home moves if the sale or tenancy was agreed but not yet completed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The marketing of occupied properties, including agents doing valuations, can begin but no physical viewings can take place. Valuations and other related activities should be carried out in line with safe working requirements
Further detail will be set out by the Welsh Government in guidance that is due to be published today, 22 June 2020.
