Become an NAEA Propertymark regional executive

Monday 24 April 2017

NAEA Propertymark are looking to appoint new regional representatives for the North Central, South Central and South East of England - are you up for the challenge?

So why should you apply to be a Regional Executive?

While a voluntary role, becoming a Regional Executive offers a fantastic opportunity for personal development. Regional Executives represent the industry at NAEA Propertymark events, external meetings and conferences within your region. While you should be prepared to commit one day per month, the role guarantees you enviable Continuing Professional Development, ensures that you are in regular contact with a network of industry leaders and helps to keep you ahead of sector developments.

Colin Shairp, Regional Representative for the South East of England said:

"I have held the position as Regional Representative for Region 10 for the past two years, representing agents at board meetings and supporting local and regional meetings.

"Over the past few years we have seen many changes within the property industry with the growth of on-line agents, changes in legislation and the re-branding of NFoPP to NAEA Propertymark. I am sure that the new branding will help the general public to understand the importance of using a reputable, qualified estate agent.

"My experience has been enjoyable but like many things in life it is time to step down and give somebody else the opportunity to take over the responsibility. I am sure that someone with enthusiasm, integrity and drive among you will be able to take over the role."

The successful applicant will join the NAEA Propertymark board, a group of 12 practising agents that meet regularly, to discuss the many issues that affect estate agency today and help to better prepare the association and its members for the challenges we as an industry face.

The positions are available for three NAEA Propertymark regions. The first, region three, covers Cheshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, the South and the East of Yorkshire. Region eight includes Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and West Berkshire and region 10 covers Sussex, Kent, Surrey and Hampshire.
