Building Design and Defect Identification and Diagnosis for Residential Estate Agents

Estate agents are not surveyors, nor are they expected to be, but a basic understanding of building design and defect identification and diagnosis will help estate agents to provide “added value” when advising clients. This is especially useful following a
survey report on a property report which requires clarification that the surveyor is unwilling to provide. The course will explain how domestic buildings are constructed, covering the main elements of construction and service installations, and then look at defect identification and diagnosis, using where possible photographs, diagrams and worked scenarios.
