The NAEA Management Standard

Are you a Branch Manager with responsibility for staff management?

Here is a management course designed specifically for managers in residential sales agencies, which will help you get the best from your staff;  to motivate and develop them and develop your leadership skills.

The NAEA Management Standard is spread over three non-consecutive days and is aimed at actual and prospective line managers and supervisors. This business boot camp has been designed to be of practical benefit in the workplace to give delegates the skills, knowledge, confidence and inspiration to get ahead of the game.

The training modules will involve PowerPoint presentations, group discussions and interaction with skills practices in order to reinforce learning. The Standard will focus on the processes and systems required,  together with the personal management skills needed to get results through other people.

Delegates must attend all three days and successfully pass the assessment at the end of each module in order to be awarded the NAEA Management Standard. In addition to a certificate and a comprehensive set of course notes, successful delegates will also be entitled to six months' free Studying Membership with the Institute of Leadership and Management , with the option to renew membership thereafter.

Topics

  • Advanced Personal Communication

    With the emphasis on behavioural styles, relationship awareness and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), this course will equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to be able to recognise the behavioural styles of others,  as well as their own. It helps delegates to realise the importance of flexing their own personal style, to act wisely in inter-personal situations in order to get the best out of other people.

  • Performance Management

    An absolute must to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to review KPIs and the appraisal process efficiently and effectively with the use of a cyclical formula and SMART objectives. Gives delegates the skills required to review staff performance including questioning, listening, motivation, coaching and giving constructive feedback.

  • Building Your High Performing Team

    Everyone wants to be part of a high performing team! This course will equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to recognise the characteristics of a high performing team and to apply the Tuckman Model of Team Formation. Delegates will explore the concept and importance of knowing their own and their team's preferred roles.

  • Leadership & Management

    Successful leadership and management have never been a greater challenge. This course will equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to recognise the differences between leadership and management and to realise how their leadership style can influence the productivity and morale of an individual and their team.

  • Coaching & Delegation

    With a four step process for coaching staff in the workplace,  this course will equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to understand when to coach and when to delegate (task and stewardship delegation) in order to develop an individual and/or team to reach their full potential.

  • Living the 7 Habits

    Based on Covey's 7 Habits,  this course inspires delegates with the skills and knowledge to balance their own work and home environment and to recognise ways in which they can be more effective and efficient in the workplace,  with emphasis on good time management and being able to work smarter, not harder!
