Financial Crime Update

The Anti Money Laundering Regulations 2003 have been given a fresh new look under the 2007 Regulations. They still require that each estate agency business appoints and trains a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and follow procedures to prevent their business being used to launder funds. Fundamental changes, however, include a revised "risk based" approach to "know your customer" and,  importantly, the appointment of the OFT in a supervisory role for agents. Find out more about this and the remainder of the new legislation at these important seminars.
