The Institution of Commercial & Business Agents (ICBA)
The Institution of Commercial & Business Agents (ICBA) has
been set up by the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) to
support the distinct professional needs of agents specialising in
the commercial sector.
It has a strong focus on continuing professional development (CPD)
and on professional training. As a specialist in the commercial
sector you know that managing the sale, letting or purchase of commercial
premises requires a high degree of technical knowledge and calls
for specialist marketing and yet, before ICBA developed its commercially-focused
courses, there was no ongoing training available in Britain for
those working in the sector.
In addition to the courses, ICBA have developed nationally recognised
and accredited qualifications in Commercial Property Agency –
the Technical Award and Diploma, which are the route into corporate
membership of the ICBA.

The sale, letting or purchase of a commercial property or business requires a high degree of technical knowledge and access to specialised marketing. The success or failure of a business could depend on the choice of the right property in the best location.
Help Your Business Realise its True Value
Your NAEA agent can help make sure you get the best possible price when it comes to selling a business. Accurate business valuations requires expert knowledge of the market potential as well as a clear understanding of trading practices.
Marketing and Finance
NAEA members specialising in Business Transfer fully understand the market and are also in contact with the best sources of finance for business purchase. They can assess the financial status of potential buyers and refer them to financial organisations, should capital be needed. They will also work closely with your legal and financial advisers. |
