The Halifax House Price Index for June
- House prices in the three months to June were 0.3% lower than
in the preceding three months (January-March). Prices on this
measure of the underlying trend slipped back into negative
territory following successive small gains in the two previous
- House prices increased by 1.0% in June. Prices continue to
fluctuate on a monthly basis with an even number of falls and rises
in the past 12 months.
- Prices in the three months to June were 0.5% lower than in the
same period a year earlier. There has been a marked improvement in
the annual rate over the past 12 months with an annual decline of
0.5% or less in each of the past three months. The annual rate
stood at -4.2% in May 2011.
