Consultation on the repeal of the Property Misdescriptions Act 1991

The Department for Business Innovation and Skills has consulted about the possible repeal of the PMA on the basis that the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 provide similar protections for consumers. The full consultation paper is available fromhttp://www.bis.gov.uk/Consultations/repeal-property-misdescriptions-act-1991

The NAEA's response is attached. The NAEA is strongly opposed to a repeal.
