The ICBA Forum will be held on 1 November 2011 at
the Radisson Edwardian, Bloomsbury Street,
London.
William Shakespeare wrote: 'Conversation should be pleasant
without scurrillity, witty without affectation, free without
indecency, learned without conceitedness, novel without
falsehood'.
Taking some of Bard's famous quotes, Forum 2011 seeks to explore
in a pleasant, witty, decent, learned and novel way some of the
challenges and interesting matters which commercial and business
transfer agents could encounter or should know, all in a day. There
will be time to debate and ask questions.
Topical issues to be covered include:
- INSOLVENCY - LPA Receiverships and Commercial Mortgage
Enforcement
- BUSINESS RATES - Minimising rates outgoings - and the political
landscape
- PROFESSIONALISM - Bribery, dishonesty and lack of
integrity
- BRAND NAMES - Importance of the brand for business
- PLANNING CONTROLS - What powers do Councils have for
enforcement?
- PROPERTY DEFECTS - Common issues - with their solutions to
rectify
- WHAT PLACE FOR THE ICBA - The relevance of this professional
body
There will also be some scenario discussions which commercial
and business agents may come across - we will be looking at the
issues which may be encountered and how these can be tackled.
