NAEA President Martyn Baum and MD Mark Hayward recently fitted in a brief visit the US to attend the Realtors Legislative Meeting at the US Congress. The session, organised by the National Association of Realtors and part of a process where representatives from every state together with their own Congressmen gather over two days to discuss a common agenda, formed part of the Spring Legislative Session in Washington DC and attracted 8,000 delegates discussing items including global cooperation and international initiatives.

Mark and Martyn also met Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michegan to discuss issues including flooding and flood relief, planning and housing finance including mortgage interest tax deductions – a hotly debated topic in US politics and recent election results.
