Do something funny for money

Friday 24 March 2017

In aid of Red Nose Day 2017, the staff at Propertymark HQ joined the comic adventure by dressing down and donning red noses to raise money for Comic Relief.

We totally looked the part with our Sniffer, DJ Boogie, Dr. Nose and Snuffles noses and varied selection of red accessories - red socks still count, right?

Propertymark HQ also held a sweepstake to see how long it would take comedian Josh Widdicombe to screw a lightbulb into a lamp. The catch? He had to assemble the lamp first – with no instructions. He finished in an impressive and somewhat unexpected time of 3 minutes and 9 seconds, which was a lot quicker than the 3 weeks and 2 hours suggested by one member of staff.

The final total raised was £170!

All the money raised will benefit some incredible projects across the UK and Africa. This year, there are five main issues Comic Relief are specifically focussing on, immunisation, mental health, vulnerable young people, domestic violence and fighting malaria.

Comic Relief funds more than 2,000 projects throughout the UK, addressing a range of issues and since last Red Nose Day, fundraising has helped 11.7 million people across Africa.
