Primary Authority changes

Thursday 02 July 2015

Automatic registration to the NFoPP Primary Authority Partnership with Warwickshire County Council (WCC)

(Only applicable for Principals, Partners or Directors.)

As you are probably aware, we have entered into a partnership with Warwickshire County Council, the purpose of which is to provide assured advice to all of our members based in England and Wales. This advice must be taken into consideration by your local Trading Standards should they wish to take enforcement action against your company.

Up until this point we have been asking PPD members to register their details to become a part of this partnership. However, due to certain developments we are now able to act on behalf of members to enter them on to the Primary Authority Register.

If you are a Principal, Partner or Director (PPD), from 1 August 2015 we will automatically register your details for the Primary Authority agreement so you can immediately benefit from the free assured advice which provides consistent interpretation of legislation.

How can I opt out?

Primary Authority is a prime member benefit which is proving extremely popular. However, should you wish to opt out, you can of course do so. Just email ensuring you put 'Primary Authority opt out' in the subject line and someone from our Regulation team will remove you from the list.
