AGM and Presidents' dinner

Thursday 25 June 2015

The NFoPP AGM was held at the Charing Cross Hotel on Friday 19 June 2015 to a packed group of members and stakeholders. Later on in the day a fabulous evening was had at The Savoy hotel for The Presidents' Dinner.

The AGM
Besides the statutory protocols that were undertaken there was an extremely interesting review of the year outlined by the Executive Chair Michael Finn. This included the successful TV and PR campaigns that have helped in raising consumer awareness for all our Associations and assisting with the significant increases in membership growth. Also highlighted was the well regarded Property Professional Magazine that continues to be a flagship for the Associations.

Rob Clutton, Director of Finance described the very healthy financial position that we have with robust balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.

In addition the representation and lobbying that has been undertaken was seen as being clearly beneficial in the context of highlighting the quality aspects of how we regulate members and how continue to strive for improving standards in the property sector.

The new Presidents of ARLA and NAEA, Peter Savage and Martyn Baum respectively outlined their vision for their coming term of office.

Martyn articulated his vision as being based around pragmatic membership services and benefits that really add value to our members and allow their business to flourish and be innovative.

ARLA's new president elect was announced as David Mackie and Katie Griffin was elected as the Divisional Vice President.

A particularly pleasing aspect of the meeting was the very generous collection that was made for the Arbon Trust via the initiative of Chris Brown, Chair of the College of Fellows.

NAEA and ARLA Presidents’ Dinner
NFoPP’s Event Manager, Julie Bublaitis, reports on the annual Presidents’ Dinner, held at the iconic Savoy Hotel in London.

The annual NFoPP Presidents’ Dinner was held at the Savoy to welcome incoming NAEA and ARLA Presidents, Martyn Baum and Peter Savage.

The evening began with a champagne drinks reception, attended by over 250 guests with music provided by a string trio. The Master of Ceremonies, John Oakley called for dinner and guests were led to the magnificent Ballroom. The new NAEA and ARLA Presidents, were introduced to the audience and welcomed all to the dinner, with speeches on their hopes and aspirations for their coming presidential year.

After dinner was served, guests took to the floor to dance the night away to the amazing Love Junkies band.

We are pleased that as well as regular guests, some new faces were also there on the evening and hope all enjoyed the evening as much as we did.

Thank you to all that attended and to Agent Assure, for again kindly sponsoring this event. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
