Gavin Barwell MP announced as speaker at NAEA Conference 2017

Tuesday 17 January 2017

PRESS RELEASE: The Housing Minister will host a Q&A session at the annual Conference, discussing the government’s plans for housing in the immediate and longer-term future

National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) has announced Minister of State for Housing, Gavin Barwell MP, as a speaker at NAEA Conference 2017. Gavin joins a long list of industry figures already confirmed for the annual conference, which is the largest of its kind, being held on 9th February 2017 at 155 Bishopsgate in London.

The Housing Minister will outline the government’s plans for housing now and in the future and will take questions from the floor during a 20 minute Q&A session.

The event is hosted by Sally Bundock, a business and financial journalist at the BBC and other speakers include Peter Andrews from the Bank of England, Miles Shipside from Rightmove and Mark Palmer from Pret A Manger.

David Mackie, President, National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), said: “Last year was a busy year for housing and with the Housing White Paper due at the end of this month, 2017 is set to be even busier. The housing market continues to dominate the political and news agenda, so we’re thrilled to have secured the Housing Minister as a speaker at this year’s event. It’s now more important than ever that we understand what the government has planned for housing in the immediate and longer-term. The session will give attendees an opportunity to share their views with the Housing Minister on what’s affecting them within the sector, and to raise any views or concerns.”

Many agents have already signed up, while non-NAEA members are also welcome at the conference. Please note that spaces are limited. For more information and to book, visit: http://www.naea.co.uk/events/national-conference.aspx
