Unlock the Power to Save Money on Your Print Costs

Monday 05 December 2016

When considering a new printer do you know whether to buy an inkjet printer, laser printer or multifunctional device and are you aware of the differences between them?

Most companies have strict budgetary constraints and it's natural to consider the initial buying costs and space limitations. However, it's also worth taking into account the long-term costs associated with owning and running your printer.

The choice of printer will, largely, depend on your requirements but here are a couple of handy considerations which may help you to make a good long-term decision.

To find out more about the Olivetti Members Support Programme, and how you can save money on your print costs, please call us on: 01933 420556 or email:

Do you print out lots of documents, such as invoices, direct mail pieces, property details, contracts or information leaflets?
TOP TIP - Laser printers, while a little more expensive to purchase than an inkjet machine, initially, will allow you to print on a wide variety of paper types, not just inkjet, and will not need replacement toners as often, are generally faster and offer a cheaper cost per page. They can also be networked easily and many now provide the facility for mobile printing.

Do you find that your office is cluttered by fax machines, scanners, printers and photocopiers, which take up a lot of space and are expensive and time consuming to maintain?
TOP TIP - Consider a multifunctional device or product (MFD/MFP) which allows you to print, copy, scan and fax in one machine. They are fast, require very little energy to run them, provide excellent paper handling and extensive finishing capabilities such as folding, stapling and hole punching. You can also store your most popular documents in their large memory and even access the internet and send emails, while being able to manage who uses it and what they use it for.

Do you want to find out how much your current printers are costing you, and if you can save money, for FREE?
TOP TIP - Your supplier will be able to tell you exactly how much you are currently spending by carrying out a Print Audit, which is a non-intrusive check on the machines you have. Some suppliers charge for this service but Olivetti "Best for Color" Dealers offer this service free of charge.

You could save up to 50% on your costs!
