Are you submitting your CPD hours online?

Friday 14 August 2015

It is compulsory for all NAEA members to submit a minimum of 12 hours Continuing Professional Development (CPD) per year. The deadline to submit your 2015 CPD is 31 January 2016.

NAEA considers CPD to be a vital part of your membership. As a member of NAEA, you should too!  After all, this requirement allows you to keep up to date with current legislation and best practice, which not only helps your own development but also demonstrates to your customers your professionalism and commitment to providing a first class, expert service.

NAEA offers a number of conferences, masterclasses and courses each year to support members in this aim, all of which carry CPD hours. However, it's important to understand that on a day-to-day basis you will also be achieving CPD hours. The key is understanding what CPD is and making sure you regularly log your hours in the members’ area at www.naea.co.uk.

Every time you research a process, procedure or product; when you review your Health and Safety procedures; even when you have a team meeting - every time you learn new skills, gain knowledge to support you in your day to day role, this is CPD!

Please log your CPD hours on a regular basis and ensure you explain your learning outcomes and why the activity contributed to your CPD.

If you need help understanding any element of CPD requirements, please contact the Membership Team on 01926 417790 or email membership@naea.co.uk for further guidance.
