NAEA licensed members are licensed for residential sales only.
An NAEA member can only be licensed if

• They are working as a residential sales agent
• They are a member who agrees to, and abides by the relevant Code of Practice and Rules of Conduct
• The firm they work for is a member of an independent redress scheme which can award compensation in the event of service failure
• They hold a recognised technical qualification relating to the sale of residential property for those who have joined since 2003
• They hold a recognised technical qualification relating to the sale of residential property or are qualified by at least 10 years industry experience for those who joined prior to 2003.
• They are a Principal, Partner or Director (PPD) of the company that has gone through the licensing procedure or
  • They are  employed by a licensed PPD who is a Member of NAEA
• The firm they work for keeps designated statutory client money accounts and is covered by Client Money Protection (CMP) if client money is handled,
• The firm they work for provides an Annual Accountant’s report, if client money is handled
• The firm they work for hold and are covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance
• They undertake a minimum of 12 hours of  Continued Professional Development (CPD) per year

A member cannot be licensed through the NAEA
